The Kitchen, First
A kitchen begins with the way you actually live in your home. Not the way a magazine says you should live in it — the way you make coffee on a Saturday morning, the way your kids drop their backpacks after school, the way a Wednesday dinner comes together after work when nobody planned it.
Your vision comes first. Then an interior designer — yours, or one we introduce — draws it into a room: the proportion, the material vocabulary, the light layered from ceiling to counter, the moment when the kitchen stops being a room and starts being your kitchen. And then it's time to find the builder who can bring it to life without softening the parts that made you fall in love with it.
That is where Chad comes in. He builds design-authored kitchens for a living. Every specification your designer sends lives in BuilderTrend before a wall opens. Every substitution — if a stone lot runs short, a lead time slips, a cabinet dimension needs adjusting for a real-world wall — comes to your designer with two options that hold the intent, before it comes to you. Nothing gets quietly value-engineered.
The site stays clean while the work happens. Floors covered. Dust contained. Finished areas sealed. Chad walks the site every Friday whether the project needs him to or not.
Kitchens like the one on this page are what Swanson has been building across Southlake, Keller, Westlake, Colleyville, Trophy Club, and Flower Mound since 2007. If you're planning one, start a conversation with Chad — sixty to ninety minutes in your home, no pitch, and by the end you'll know whether we're the right team for what you have in mind.
